Trip to Washington

This past weekend I got to fly to the beautiful state of Washington to visit my brother, sister-in-law, little niece, and the majority of my dad's family. (Jeremy wasn't able to go so he got to be daddy while I was gone.) My niece was born during the spring of last year which made it near to impossible to be able to see her during wedding season...which for us, didn't end until January. :) I had an absolute wonderful time...wish it could have been longer. Below you will see some of the pictures I got to take.

This is my little niece, Hannah. Isn't she beautiful? Her eyes are shockingly blue. (I've been experimenting with some fun lighting techniques...watch for more to come:)

This is my younger brother, David. He sure is a proud daddy...and has every right to be.

My sis-n-law, Bekki... I know I gained at least 4 pounds while I was there...she's an excellent cook!

Another cute pic of Hannah!

The whole state of Washington is beautiful. There are mountains everywhere. It's kind of hard to tell (it was on the verge of raining), but Mt. St. Helens is in the background behind me...one of my favorite places to go when I visit.

I forgot to mention that the water you see is the Columbia River.

This is my #1 place to visit when I go to Washington...my grandparent's farm. They live on a mountain called Green Mountain. They have lived there ever since they were married...over 50+ years. I also have several sets of aunts and uncles who live on the mountain as well. The memories I have on the farm are endless and I am so thankful for their legacy of family. Like I mentioned earlier, I was only there for a long weekend and only spent one evening on the farm. I was still able to see 5 out of my 6 aunts and uncles, (my dad is 1 of 7), my grandparents, and a ton of cousins. It was a huge blessing.

And of course, me with my niece. Thanks for checking into my weekend. My family means the world to me and I wanted to share a bit of what I have been able to experience. Have a wonderful week! Mel
